The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta has come to a close after a short extension on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. And it seems a lot of people played it. The Call of Duty Twitter account said Black Ops Cold War's beta was the most downloaded in franchise history. There are no statistics to corroborate this. The statement also echoes what publisher Activision said in 2019 about Modern Warfare's beta being the "biggest ever in franchise history."
