Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a fantastic game, but what would it be like as a television series in the style of Dwarf Studios' 2019 stop-motion animation Rilakkuma and Kaoru?

Police Find No Threat At Ubisoft Montreal After Hoax Emergency Call

Building safely evacuated.

A reported hostage situation at Ubisoft Montreal appears to have been started by a hoax emergency call. Police say "no threat has been identified for now" and have evacuated the building.

This all started local time early afternoon on Friday when news began circulating about police evacuating Montreal’s Mile-End neighbourhood.

Nintendo Switch Achieves Its Best October Sales To Date In The US

"second-highest October sales" of any console in history.

Nintendo of America has sent out a press release about its record sales in the United States last month.

According to NPD data, October 2020 sales for the Switch are the "second-highest October sales of any video game console in history" within this region.

Cross-Play Is Skipping The Nintendo Switch Version Of Mortal Kombat 11

Get over here! Maybe not...

It always seemed like there could be a point when the Nintendo Switch version of Mortal Kombat 11 fell behind and today's the day. It not been left out in the cold by itself, though, as PC players have also being shafted.

The official Mortal Kombat Twitter account has announced NetherRealm will be adding cross-play across generations. This will allow past gen players to play with next gen players. The catch is, you'll need to have access to a PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One.

Nintendo's latest sales data reveals Fire Emblem: Three Houses has now shifted 3.02 million units worldwide.

This makes it the best-selling entry in the entire Fire Emblem series as of June this year. It's taken the crown from Fire Emblem: Awakening on the 3DS, which sold a total of 2.94 million units worldwide during its lifetime.

The Latest Update For Borderlands 2 On Nintendo Switch Is Crashing The Game

Crashlands.

Yesterday, Gearbox and 2K rolled out a new update for Borderlands 2 on the Nintendo Switch. It adds a field of view slider, makes some adjustments to fast travel, and also marks the release of the fifth campaign add-on - Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary - on the Switch eShop.

Unfortunately, many players have been experiencing crashes since this update went live. While there seem to be some workarounds over on the Borderlands Switch subreddit, they don't appear to be resolving the problem for everyone.

One game on its way to the Nintendo Switch this December is Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. If you're still not entirely convinced you need a sequel in your life, it looks like there'll be a demo released - allowing you to try before you buy.

This information comes from a listing for a Puyo Puyo 2 demo on Gamstat - a website that tracks the PlayStation Store. This website previously revealed Square Enix's Trials of Mana demo ahead of schedule.

Eighting Helped Nintendo Bring Pikmin 3 To The Switch

The dev behind the port.

Nintendo's latest Switch game - Pikmin 3 Deluxe - is a port of the 2013 Wii U title. While Nintendo EAD was responsible for the original title, it seems Nintendo called on another team to help out with the new release.

As revealed in the credits, the Deluxe version of the game is all thanks to Eighting. According to Nintendo Everything, this company was "largely responsible" for Pikmin 3 Deluxe, handling the port as well as the game's new content.

Bloodless Is Joining Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night As A Bonus Playable Character

Video: Does Cloud Gaming Work On The Nintendo Switch?

Last week Control arrived on Switch. Obviously, there has been a lot of discussion about a cloud-based future since then.

If you haven't really investigated this game yet, you're technically purchasing the license to play it - meaning when the servers go offline, you'll never be able to access it again. Some other setbacks include queues just to play it (which is kinda odd for a single-player experience), and not every region around the world can access it.
