My Hands Don’t Like PS5 Call Of Duty’s Adaptive Trigger Feature

Black Ops: Cold War has arrived. There are several platforms to play Call of Duty on this year, but only the PlayStation 5 can literally give the game a next-gen feel with its controller. But is this novel sense of realism the best option for a multiplayer shooter? My hands aren’t convinced.

How To Get The Cat Suit In Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Spider-Man is the hero of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. That’s not a statement about either of the Spider-Men (Peter Parker or the titular Miles Morales) but about Spider-Man, the bodega cat who charmed the internet to pieces earlier this fall. Insomniac’s web-slinging action game, out now for PlayStation 4 and…

Godfall Is Good For Some Simple, Satisfying Hack And Slash

I’m seeing a lot of reviews out there calling PlayStation 5 console exclusive melee looter Godfall basic and repetitive. It is both of those things, but it’s also flashy, shiny, and feels pretty damn good combat-wise. Not at all bad for a game I can’t stop calling Warframe.

Bright Memory Is The Perfect Dark Zero Of 2020

The new consoles are launching with fewer next-gen only games than any previous generation. On the one hand, this means most of the games you can play on day one on PS5 and Xbox Series X are greats like Assassin’s Creed and Spider-Man. On the other hand, the meh launch games of old usually looked nice, even if they…

Demon's Souls On PS5 Has Still Got It

After spending a few hours with the remake this morning, I can confirm that playing Demon’s Souls on PlayStation 5 is almost exactly like playing Demon’s Souls on PlayStation 3. And that’s a very good thing.

Now 2021 Cosplay Shows Are Being Cancelled As Well

We were all expecting most 2020 conventions to have been cancelled, but the complete inability of most of the planet—and the United States in particular—to get its shit together means that we’re already starting to see big 2021 shows thrown in the bin as well.

Twitch Apologizes, But DMCA Fiasco Continues With Punishments For In-Game Sounds, Deleted Clips

Twitch’s past three weeks have been bleak, to say the least. Late last month, the company abruptly purged thousands of streamers’ videos and advised them to delete all remaining clips in advance of a massive music industry DMCA crackdown—one it had known about for months, but failed to adequately warn streamers about…

PS5 And Xbox Series X Loading Times, Compared (They’re Close)

So far we’ve shown you how PS5 loads games very quickly and Xbox Series X and S load games very quickly. Long story short, both systems load next-gen games at ludicrous speeds while giving older games a little push. But in order to gauge how ludicrous is ludicrous, we needed to get a couple of next-gen games the two…

I Really Like Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Easily Readable Lore Screens

I like a lot of things about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. I like the setting. I like the new quest system. I like the changes to the loot system that frees my character from hauling dozens of the same sword. What’s also great? I can read the game’s lore text from my couch with ease.
